Wellness Coaching and Healthy Cooking Instruction



As a certified Health Coach, professional Chef and mother of three, I understand that not everyone can afford the time or effort it takes to lead a healthy lifestyle – that it is a million times easier to choose fast food over cooking a wholesome meal.  My mission is to empower and educate children and their families in the critical role nutrition plays by  providing simple ways to incorporate clean eating and lifestyle changes for optimal health and proformance. Nutrition isn't about being perfect. It's about setting ourselves up to win by making lots of small, positive choices. You do not have to be a culinary master to be healthy. You will not have to stop enjoying food. But you will need to make one crucial choice: to eat REAL food. 

Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching is a unique innovation in lifestyle, health and nutrition. While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, I will work with you to help you create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible and fun. I combine health counseling and lifestyle coaching to create a program that is customized to your needs, and I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. During my program you will:

  • Set and accomplish wellness goals
  • Explore foods that truly energize you
  • Understand and reduce cravings
  • Feel better in your body and mind
  • Improve personal relationships

Kids Healthy Cooking Lessons

My lessons are not focussed on any one method of teaching nutrition (i.e. raw foods vs. vegan cooking, or even MyPlate). My goal is to try to meet our students exactly where they are on their own unique health journey - and that will be different for everyone.  For some, that means reducing fast-foods and soda in their diet. For others, it means reducing processed foods or foods that may cause sensitivities, like dairy.  I will use my tools and resources as a way to help teach each concept (such as good carbohydrate vs bad or what are whole grains). Some key principles I will focus on: Keeping your food sources as close to Mother Nature as possible. Take the Science out of your food - if you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't be eating it!
